Shocking Reality TV Villains

By ETonline Staff

There’s a reason we tune in every week to see shows like The Bachelor, Big Brother and Love Island -- we can’t get enough of the villains! Love 'em or love to hate 'em, we can't look away from the drama of The Bachelorette's Jed Wyatt or The Hills: New Beginnings' Spencer Pratt. Vanderpump Rules could be quite boring without Jax Taylor, and Keeping Up With the Kardashians would be just a show about a famous family without the drama of Jordyn Woods and Tristan Thompson. Click to revisit our top shocking reality TV villains.

1 / 46

Jed Wyatt

Jed Wyatt
ABC

Turns out this musician was on The Bachelorette for all the wrong reasons–he went into the season with a girlfriend back home that he never officially broke up with. Wyatt told that now ex-girlfriend that he was just joining the show to further his budding music career. So far, his credits include a dog food jingle.

Farrah Abraham

The MTV reality star often clashed with her Teen Mom producers, often threatening that she was done filming -- forever! In the spring of 2019, Abraham took to Instagram to share that there is little to no chance that she will ever return to the show that launched her fame. “I am definitely not ever, probably, coming back to Teen Mom," she said in a video after she was asked if she would replace cast member Bristol Palin. "I have so moved on, and I think it was such a great way to move on. I definitely wasn’t fired, I’ve never been fired. I think some of the producers have an ego, and I’m thankful to the great crew that doesn’t sell out their talent that takes care of them and loves them."

Tiffany “New York” Pollard

You’d be hard-pressed to find a better villain than New York. This fearless TV personality famously fought her Flavor of Love castmate “Pumpkin” who hocked a loogie on her and parlayed her antics into her own reality spin-off.

Heidi Montag

Montag was a Hills villain by association for being complicit with her husband, Spencer Pratt's, schemes. But was she always just along for the ride? Pratt's sister, Stephanie, has accused Montag of starting those Lauren Conrad sex tape rumors.

Jordyn Woods

The longtime BFF of Kylie Jenner broke her bond with the KarJenner clan by allegedly hooking up with Khloe Kardashian's now-ex, Tristan Thompson, while the couple was still in a relationship. The drama captured in an arc on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, but Woods remains optimistic that she can mend the wounds and rekindle her friendship with the young makeup mogul. "I love her. That’s my homie," Woods told Cosmpolitan U.K.. "I hope everything falls into place and that we can all grow and build our relationships with our family and God and come back together one day and be stronger and happier."

Luke Parker

Luke Parker, The Bachelorette
ABC

This Bachelorette villain mostly hid his combativeness from Hannah B., only revealing to her his villainous side during the fantasy suites, when he tried to shame her for having sex with another contestant. "It was really frustrating for me," Brown told ET. "I will be very honest when asked anything, but I feel like that question [about who I had sex with] was really pointed, because it was contingent on whether he was going to stay or not or really whether I was worthy of him, his love."

Jax Taylor

This Vanderpump Rules newlywed told ET that cheating on his now-wife Brittany Cartwright, was his "rock bottom." "I was like, 'I could go one way or the other.' And just for my father, I was like, 'Just, you know what, I'm going to do things the right way, I'm gonna turn a new leaf.' You know, everyone has heard it before. I'm gonna do this. I'm going to do this the right way. I'm going to do it for my future wife and for myself."

Spencer Pratt

Spencer Pratt

Pratt made himself the enemy on The Hills by stressing out his girlfriend, Heidi, and everyone she loved, making for a very dramatic storyline that kept viewers coming back. These days, he's doing his best to make good with his now-wife and Hills fan. "I wish we had done interviews differently -- like, on the show, [things] maybe looked horrible and then we got an interview, and then [it's] like, 'Oh, it's fun and TV and like, so amped up,'" Pratt told ET.

Tristan Thompson

Thompson broke Khloe Kardashian's heart by allegedly hooking up with Kylie Jenner’s ex BFF, Jordyn Woods. Despite their baggage, Thompson continues to stand up for his ex on social media. "The negative comments that are constantly being directed towards her are unnecessary," he said. "She does not deserve all this backlash for my wrong doings."

James Kennedy

He’s the ultimate Vanderpump Rules villain-- and it’s not just about the pasta. The “White Kanye” -- (as he's called) -- has faced many heated reunions since sharing his remarks about certain cast members needing to lose some weight, but the reality series would not be the same if he wasn't in it.

Kristin Cavallari

Cavallari was often portrayed as a “mean girl” on The Hills, but she has since told fans that most of her drama on the reality show "wasn't real". "I'm just happy that more people are finally coming out saying that stuff isn't real because for the longest time it was just me," she revealed on an April 2019 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.

Chad Johnson

This meaty Bachelorette star loved to chow down on cured meats and sabotage other contestants vying for JoJo’s heart. He once even threatened to rip off his fellow contestants' arms and legs.

Yamen Sanders

Yamen Sanders
CBS

This Love Island star Sanders isn’t actually all that wicked -- unless you’re an Alana fan. When he coupled up with Islander Christen and sent Alana packing, many fans were furious and vowed to have him sent home.

Isabella "Bella" Wang

Bella Wang
CBS

This Big Brother star outed two alliances, including the all-female Black Widows alliance. To her credit, she was able to apologize to fellow houseguest Nicole before being evicted and, according to her exit interview with Julie Chen-Moonves, she realized the errors in her gameplay.

Danielle Staub

Danielle Staub

Real Housewives of New Jersey viewers loved to hate the many times-engaged Staub. The Jersey divorcée was so despised that she was once called a “prostitution wh**e” by castmate Teresa Guidice.

Christen McAllister

Christen McAllister
CBS

Alana fans instantly hated Love Island's McAllister when Yamen Sanders ditched his initial pick for the newcomer. She also rubbed the female islanders the wrong way by not being as talkative or friendly as they might have liked. While she may have been slightly bullied herself, she was still seen as a villain by the rest of the show's women.

Juan Pablo Galavis

This Bachelor star shamed a woman for hooking up with him too early on, pitting viewers against him. The show’s host, Chris Harrison, didn’t seem too keen on him either, telling TV Guide, “Even though he apologized later, I don't think he really understood how cheap he made her feel.”

Kenya Moore

No one loves to feud more than this former Miss USA and Real Housewives of Atlanta star. When she wasn’t fighting with a fellow cast member, she was keeping her marriage to husband Marc Daly a secret from RHOA producers.

Corinne Olympios

The Bachelor star wanted to “Make America Corinne again." She rubbed women in the Bachelor house the wrong way by gloating about kissing Nick first, turning her photoshoot with him into a topless one, and fighting about her "emotional intelligence." However, she says she has no regrets about her time on the series. "I definitely said everything I wanted to say. I think it went really well and I'm very happy with the outcome, so no regrets, all good," she told ET.

Courtney Robertson

This Bachelor contestant wrote a book called I Didn’t Come Here to Make Friends: Confessions of a Reality Show Villain, so it's not a huge surprise that she was booed during a live reunion.

Adam Collard

The macho gym rat from the U.K. version of Love Island was definitely the “Mr. Steal Your Girl” of his season--and had the abs to back it up!

Cam Ayala

Cam Ayala
ABC

This Bachelorette contestant wanted to take up all of Hannah B.'s time, which annoyed the rest of the cast almost as much as his catchphrase, “ABC: “Always Be Cam.”

Colton Underwood

This Bachelor star lost a lot of fans when he had a complete meltdown after his pick, Cassie, rejected him, but the former footballer has no regrets. "I wanted to make sure that I did things my way, and I know that sounds sort of brutal to say, but because there has been a format to this show and there has been success attached, for a reason, but everybody loves differently," he said. "Everybody goes through this process differently, and I'm included in that."

Brandi Glanville

This Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star loved to stir the pot and seemed to be unable to make friends with anybody, including Real Housewives reunion referee and executive producer Andy Cohen. "I think that people think that he's best friends with all the housewives -- he definitely has a few that are his real friends -- but I don't know if he likes me," she told Howard Stern on the shock jock's SiriusXM show.

Olivia Caridi

Caridi's attitude did little to make people like her as a contestant on The Bachelor. After her elimination, she took to Instagram to share everything she'd learned about herself, stating, "We're all human. We make mistakes."

Gia Gunn

Grudge-holding Gunn rubbed her fellow RuPaul's Drag Race contestants the wrong way with her constant gaslighting and snooping.

Lindsay Lohan

There was little to no drama on Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club, yet the Mean Girls actress was still the star and villain of her series. Lohan and her many accents made sure to keep her staff in check -- when she wasn’t dancing erratically.

Blac Chyna

Chyna is known for having a stormy relationship with her ex-fiancé, Keeping Up With the Kardashians' Rob Kardashian. After a ton of back and forth drama that included court appearances, a recent social media post proves that Chyna is looking to make positive changes in the future. "Looking Back at A lot of my actions, I’m reflecting and realizing that confusion is a serious thing. Of course I’m not proud of some of the pain that I have caused, and I am working to be the best me," she said.

Ashley Jacobs

Ashley Jacobs

Jacobs shocked viewers with some of the mean things she said to people on Southern Charm. However, she found being labeled a villain to be the most hurtful thing of all. "For me to be dubbed the villain, it hurt. I started to think, you know, where did I go wrong, and what could I have done differently? I can certainly be blunt, and....I have a sharp tongue, and I know how that can be misconstrued,” she told ET.

Katie Maloney-Schwartz

Now that she's married and growing up, the former #Tequilakatie is now cleaning up her act for Vanderpump Rules.

Jenelle Evans

Besides her parenthing mishaps, arrests and the mean comments she and her mother have uttered to each other, the Teen Mom star did not help her public image by recently admitting that she fabricated a story about her dog, Nugget's, murder for a publicity stunt.

Amanda Zuckerman

This Big Brother rascal’s strategy? Seemingly, be mean to everybody! Even though she ran the Big Brother house for awhile, her plan ultimately did not work out in her favor.

Nikki Galladay

Starring on season 6 of Bad Girls Club, Galladay was never afraid to rub people the wrong way.

Jade Cole

Cole wanted everyone to know she was not America’s Next Top Best Friend. Ultimately, she also wasn't the winner of her cycle of America’s Next Top Model.

Jake Pavelka

This Bachelor chose his season's villain, Vienna Girardi, to be his fiancée and later had a very public split with her just three months after the finale. Pavelka claims the pressure to be engaged on the show is so great that it clouded his decision. "America travels on this big journey with you. When you're upset, they're upset. When you're happy and you have a great date, it's like America has a great date," he said on the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast. "They expect the fairy-tale ending. That is definitely an expectation at the end of The Bachelor."

Olivia “Liv” Adams

This Bad Girls Club contestant got her housemates to believe that a fellow contestant was her sister, and she also lied about having cancer.

Omarosa Manigault Newman

Omarosa is possibly the O.G. reality TV villain. Donald Trump’s favorite Apprentice contestant can make enemies with practically anybody and continued to do so during her time on Celebrity Big Brother.

Simon Cowell

Many fans were hot for Cowell thanks to his tight tees. But, he’s been the meanest and hardest judge on every reality talent competition series he’s been on, which includes American Idol, America's Got Talent and The X Factor.

Shelly Hickman

This Bad Girls Club contestant put bleach in her housemate's contacts. If that’s not evil, we don’t know what is.

Gordon Ramsay

Some viewers dug Ramsay’s whole angry British chef vibe, which has made a ton of contestants cry on Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares.

Angelina Pivarnick

This Jersey Shore villain seemed to create drama with everyone on the show -- she even slapped Pauly D! She's now friends with most of the GTL crew, having reunited with them for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

Christine Quinn

Icy-blonde Quinn is the HBIC of the Netflix series Selling Sunset. She has said that she doesn't mind being labeled a villain because she is confident in who she is at heart. “I knew exactly what I signed up for. Everyone loves a great villain at the end of the day. They may hate my character, but they don’t know me," she said in an interview. "And if I was a man, no one would have a problem with what I was doing. It’s because I’m a woman and the way that I look."

Kristen Doute

"Crazy Kristen" loved to bring the drama by picking fights with everyone on Vanderpump Rules, preferably via text or Twitter.

Serena De Comarmond and Sturt Hinton

These Instant Hotel BFFS are known for casting major side-eye and whispering in front of others.

Stassi Schroeder

With her blonde locks, suntanned skin and dazzling smile, the dramatic, fight-instigating Schroeder was the perfect villain for the first season of Vanderpump Rules. In subsequent seasons, though, she's shed her villainous ways and recently got engaged to boyfriend Beau Clark.

Will Kirby

The hot, very cunning Big Brother contestant participated in a showmance solely to advance in the game, which is nowhere near as bad as when he told his housemates that he had a rare form of cancer when he absolutely did not.
